Welcome to Ojas-Plant Based, a plant-based restaurant in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario "serving happiness" through fusion cuisine. 

Ojas-Plant Based cuisine is award-winning and designed for anyone who wants to try plant-based eatery. They offer a mix of Asian, Italian, and Indian cuisine. Additionally, Ojas-Plant Based offers both lactose-free, gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options, with a kid-friendly menu. Ojas-Plant Based cusine is 100% meat free and egg-free. All of our cheeses are rennet-free.

As a whole, they have been recognized as one of the top Indian culinary food experiences in the world, with over 20 years of experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry. The owners Oyuna and Kumar are owners of now 4 restaurants and 2 franchised units, with 5 established in Mongolia. Oyuna and Kumar have had the privilege of serving notable personalities like HH the Dalai Lama, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and the Mongolian President through their other restaurants in Mongolia.

Together, Oyuna and Kumar have been part of the Sault Ste. Marie community since February 2024, with their restaurant, Ojas-Plant Based, located in the iconic downtown building known as Muio's Restaurant.

Opened to customers on April 26th, 2024, their mission is to serve happiness to the community and tourists of Sault Ste. Marie Ontario through their nourishing food, relaxing and peaceful atmosphere, restaurant and service. 

Ojas-Plant Based cuisine is 100% meat-free and egg-free and plant-based. Serving 'fusion cuisine', that combines elements of different culinary traditions from Asian, Italian and Indian cuisine. They have vegan and vegetarian options, as well as lactose and gluten-free options. All of our cheeses are also rennet-free.

Their lunch and dinner menus are packed with healthy, delicious meals, aimed to nourish your body and satisfy your taste buds. Whether you're craving a vibrant salad, a hearty plant-based burger, or a refreshing herbal tea, Ojas-Plant Based has something special for you.

Their Head Chef, Georgekutty T.M., brings over 10 years of culinary expertise, including 6 years in a 5-star hotel in Dubai, UAE and prominent restaurants in Sault Ste. Marie. George, along with his dedicated team, ensures that only the highest quality food leaves their kitchen.
